About The Role
We’re looking for an Afternoon Preschool aide who has a natural love for children and is able to provide a helping hand to our teachers and students. This person should enjoy interacting with children and has a desire to help each student succeed.
Hours are 1:00pm-6:00pm, Monday through Friday, no nights or weekends.
Childcare is included for your child ages 3-5.
Compensation: $11.00-$12.00/hr depending on experience
What You’ll Do
The Afternoon Preschool Aide is a part-time position and has the following responsibilities:
Assist other afternoon staff during school hours
Help prepare snacks and monitor clean up
Assist in managing classroom behavior and enforcing rules
Sing songs, play games, read books
Assist with set up and clean-up of classroom for the next school day
Help monitor students and recognize potential classroom problems
Clean bathrooms, vacuum classrooms & hallways, clean & disinfect toys weekly
Closing duties, such as closing and locking all windows and doors, take out trash, setting the alarm
Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings
Attend training sessions as necessary to maintain license and ICCP certification.
Other duties as assigned by Director
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High School diploma preferred, but not required (with director’s approval)
Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
Experience: Preferred, but not necessary
Personal Qualities: Professing Christian, kind, helpful, self-starters, professional, and creative.
License: Must hold or obtain a childcare license from the city of Coeur d’Alene, including a valid CPR/first aid card, and able to pass a background check.
Able to adapt easily and enjoy learning.
Can communicate effectively with other staff members

All of our staff are licensed through the city of Coeur d’Alene and are members of Idaho Stars.
Noah’s Ark participates in the Idaho Child Care Program (ICCP).
