Lead Preschool Teacher

At Noah’s Ark Learning Center, we are seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher who genuinely adores children and is committed to their success. Our Lead Preschool Teachers prioritize individualized learning, allowing each student to progress at their own pace.

This is a Monday through Friday position, ensuring a work-life balance with no nights or weekends. We also offer a childcare discount for your 3- to 5-year-old child. About the Role

The Lead Preschool Teacher is a part-time or full-time position with the following responsibilities:

 

Teach a class of 9 (or 18 with an Aide)

Plan daily activities and lessons that correspond with the curriculum with the assigned Preschool Aide

Plan daily/weekly Bible activities and lessons in accordance with our Bible Curriculum

Teach pre-kindergarten skills (such as letters, numbers, colors, etc.)

Maintain a safe and healthy environment

Plan art, music, and movement activities

Keep inventory of supplies and requisition needed supplies through the office manager

Help students learn classroom procedures

Help students learn personal responsibility and respect for fellow students

Use appropriate behavior management and classroom discipline

Attend training sessions as necessary to maintain license and ICCP certification.

Attend and participate in all school functions

Establish consistent communication with parents and children

Supervise assigned Preschool Aides and work together as a team

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or higher preferred or equivalent experience 

Experience: Previous experience working with young children is desired. Should have a practical understanding of early childhood education.

Personal Qualities: Professing Christian, kind, helpful, self-starter, professional, creative, even-tempered and adaptable.

License: Must hold or obtain a childcare license from the city of Coeur d’Alene, including a valid CPR/first aid card, and passing a background check.

Noah’s Ark Learning Center is a ministry of Pathway Church and has been in operation in North Idaho for four decades. It is one of the most highly respected preschool, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten learning centers in Couer d’Alene. All of our staff are licensed through the city of Coeur d’Alene and are members of Idaho Stars.

Noah’s Ark participates in the Idaho Child Care Program (ICCP).
